QTYMP is currently looking for volunteers for the week of August 5th-9th, 2019 for Camp Emerald!

We are looking for:

Band Managers (all day): be a band’s “camp counselor” throughout the week, providing mentorship, supporting individuals in the band, and making sure everyone is included and having fun!
Band Coaches (afternoons): provide technical and moral support to a band as they learn to play together, write a song, and prepare for the showcase.
Counselors (all day): be the front line of camper support, conflict resolution and crisis intervention as you support a small group through daily check-ins with campers.
Instrument Instructors (mornings): instruct small groups of campers starting to learn:
Electric Guitar
Electric Bass
Drums
Electronic Instruments (Keyboards, Synthesizers, Samplers, etc)
DJ/Turntables
Vocals (concentrating on singing or rapping)
As well as Workshop Leaders, Roadies, Front Desk, Kitchen Crew, Photographers, and more!!!

Can’t be there for the whole week of camp but want to volunteer your time? We are also looking for volunteers to help behind the scenes before camp on things like outreach, tabling, fundraisers, and more! To get involved behind the scenes apply here. And don’t forget that we’re hiring!

Logistics:

• Date, Time, and Location

Camp is held August 5th-9th, 2019 from 9am-5pm with the camper showcase being held on August 10th, 2019 at 7:30pm (volunteers arrive at 12pm for dress rehearsal, closing ceremony, and dinner). The 2019 location is The Vera Project on the corner of Warren and Republican street in Seattle Center. Additionally there is a mandatory volunteer training the Saturday before camp, August 3rd from 9-5.

• Housing and transportation

Want to volunteer but don’t live in Seattle? QTYMP does our best to find host houses and transportation for our out of town volunteers. If you need housing or transportation, just mention that in your application!

• Food

We have an amazing and dedicated kitchen staff providing delicious foods catering to all dietary restrictions for breakfast and lunch every day. And you could be one of those amazing staff! Let us know your food needs in your application and if you’re interested in helping prep food!
